RUFFLED BELL SLEEVES

Ruffle bell sleeves lois opoku lisforlois
Hey Guys,

It's a wonderful Saturday and initially I wanted to go shoot some more content for the blog today. But let's just I say I had one of the most random Berlin nights last night and I'm still feeling the aftermath of an excessive party night. Haven't had so much fun in a while. Berlin's randomness that can make or break a night is kind part of its magic.
I'm off to the cinema to watch Beauty and the Beast. Can't wait to see Emma Watson bring Belle to live!

Go enjoy the sun, your day and have a wonderful weekend!

SPRING IN FAUX FUR

Fur schnürtop lois opoku lisforlois
Hey guys,

It's finally spring, the days are seemingly getting (not really) but occasionally the sun comes out to play in Berlin. Soon spring will be in full bloom and I'll be able to shed all those layer that kept me warm. I found this coat I bought maybe 3 or 4 years ago at Zara in my closet. I mnust admit I have a lot of clothes I buy during Sale season and end up at the back of my closet after of month of excessively wearing them. I've kind of fallen for this fur ball again, although it makes me look somewhat like a bird haha! The rest of the pieces I'm wearing are all sale finds, the strappy top is from last year Zara, the bag I got in January - also Zara. The pants I found at Bershka and I must admit I was surprised at the perfect fit. As you know my booty-to-hips ratio is not made for the European market aka "slim thick with your cute ass"-Problem. Only Levis introduced pants made for my shape - the Levis Curve ID (I'm a bold curve), but Levis is costly and the wash I have I don't wear that often.
These pants from Bershka fit like Curve IDs. My shoes were my biggest steal 12,99 Mango.. uh yes?!

Good night kids!

THE LEO FUR COAT AND PEARL JEANS

lois opoku leopard print fur coat outfit
Hey guys!

While you are reading this I'm going through my pictures from Fashion Week. January is going by in a rush! Right after Christmas I made huge hauls from Bershka and Topshop (got so many pieces for 10€) which I may or may not show you on my Youtube channel, depending on how I manage with time. The pants I got from Pull&Bear during the Cyber Monday/Black Friday sales, which I think I also linked in my Black Friday/Cyber Weekend sales guide, may be my fav new jeans. They are mom fit, which usually does not complement my figure at all, but I thought looked so cute that I ordered them anyway. This coat was a purchase just before Christmas and it's been keeping me warm since! I think a leopard print fur coat can be such a statement piece to own in your closet. It upgrades any casual look! Imagine that coat with black skinny jeans, similar boots, black pullover and a beanie. How cute is that for winter?

CLASSY IN GUCCI DIONYSUS AND CAMEL

Gucci Dionysus Lois Opoku lisforlois
First Look of 2017,

And I finally get to style the iconic Gucci Dionysus and for a minute feel its realm of luxury me on. It's not mine though, I stole it from my friend Janine. Just like Carina (sucks she stopped blogging), Janine is a girl from my childhood that I've found again through blogging. We used to attend the same elementary school. Go check out her blog!
Everywhere you look, every blog you click on, you'll see the It Bag of the season, the Gucci Dionysus, there is no way around it. I too have fallen for the hype around this bag. Gucci has never been so in like right now, and never have fashion lovers been so proud to wear the double G plastered across their clothes and accessories. Admittedly just 12 months ago I associated the vintage double G with "Kanacks" (=fake tan, fake gucci and gelled back hair boys).
But Gucci is on the comeback and it's good.
Better than ever.

L IS FOR LOIS x FOOT LOCKER: HOW TO STYLE A SNEAKER 4 WAYS

puma footlocker lois opoku
Every year the same old story: Foot Locker's Week of Greatness. It's a become a tradition here on the blog and I never get tired of it. Foot Locker releases a crazy bunch of super cool sneakers and I get to highlight my favorite here on the blog. This time I chose the Puma Fierce that I styled up in four completely different ways. Can we just take a minute to acknowledge the fact that Puma has made a major comeback this year? Ever since Rihanna took over it's been going uphill. Well played Puma, well played. Of course Foot Locker released a few new Pumas (like the Puma Fierce I'm wearing) during Week of Greatness, along with some sick Jordans and Adidas NMDs, some in exclusive colour ways to Foot Locker.
In honour of Week of Greatness I decided to show you 4 different ways I'd rock sneakers. Here is my week in sneakers lookbook. Friday's we wear high heels to party :P
If you know me, you know I hardly ever wear heels IRL. Nothing goes over the comfort of a sneaker..
But keep reading to see the looks! :D

BROUGHT THE AFRICAN SUN BACK WITH ME

culotte streetstyle lois opoku lisforlois
Hey Guys,

How have you been? I just got from Africa and I have to admit the climate change was brutal. So brutal I got sick the minute I stepped of the plane in Amsterdam. Literally. However I brought the African sun with me in my heart which is why I'm sharing one more summery look with you. Tomorrow I'll share my insta diary from Ghana (you can see a preview of it right now on Instagram @LoisOpoku - check out my hashtag #lisforloisGHANA and then I'll share one more summer look and some more snaps from Ghana. Then I'll finally come to terms with winter and you'll get to see my winter wardrobe this year.
But for now I'll be happy with my summer look. Maybe it puts a smile on your face, maybe it'll make you miss summer as bad as me or maybe you're just wondering why I'm not in sync with the weather in Europe right now.
But somewhere on this globe it's still summer so.. (Ghana *cough*)

SUEDE AND LACED

Suede skirt Streetstyle lisforlois
NEED
I cannot deal with Berlin's weather right now which is why I'm escaping to the last few of my summer looks that are still unpublished. This is one of the looks I wore to Bread&Butter. I mixed suede and tan with black lace up details and finished it of with gold jewelry. I've been loving my jewelry from Stella&Dot which I've been wearing to every outfit in different combinations, which is why it's all the more annoying that my favorite pieces are left to dust on his shelf right on top of his bed knowing I'll never see it again.. *eye roll*
Good thing material things can be replaced.. another emotional bruise from meeting him is so not worth it. If he were to man up, he'd send them to me instead of using them as a cheap excuse to force me or worse blackmail me into seeing him again.

Anyway, can we have summer back please?! Who even enjoys freezing winter..?

LEVIS 505C PRE LAUNCH PARTY

lois opoku levis 505c fashion week party lisforlois
What's up guys?
How have you been? It's been super quiet here lately, but I'm back motivated as ever! I finally got my hands on all my fashion week material I shot together with Phillip, which is why I'm ending the drought here on my blog with my first event from fashion week - the Levis 505c launch party that took place on the first night after my first shows right at the Ramones museum. I made a quick outfit change somewhere in the city and opted for my new 505c of course. It's a very loose fit/straight cut kinda jeans that kinda of looks like a hybrid of a mom jeans and boyfriend jeans. Super casual.
But you can dress it up any way - casual, edgy (which I tried here), you name it and go for it..
The event itself was nice. Berlin's fashion crowd gathered in the middle of the street, people enjoying a beer, a drink or two and street food served right of a food truck whiles polas were being made to save all the memories of that night.
I took home two polaroids, two memories caught on film.

It was a good start to fashion week..

MOET WORLD PARTY DAY

Lois Opoku Moet World Party Day lisforlois
Last Saturday Moet invited people all around the World to come together and celebrate with them, sip cocktails and endless amounts of champagne and enjoy the day eating the most fancy finger food (which tasted divine btw!) while they had a few surprises in store. All around the globe in different cities it was the Moet World Party day.

The location was magical. The Ku'damm beach turned new Cappucino Cafe (one of Berlin West's new hotspot and It place for the rich) was the perfect spot. Moet had turned the place into a Pinterest heaven or something of Tumblr, a place I would have easily gotten married at. Although at first I was a little irritated about the snobbish vibes it turned into an amazing day.
My best friend and I enjoyed ourselves, met a few familiar faces as we lay in the sun and had time to catch up on what's been going on in our lives. I had so much fun on the pool floaty!

In the evening the stage opened up to a surprise act: Adesse!
Adesse's live performance was great. I found him through Instagram one day and have been following since. To hear his music live is quit the difference from hearing him on the sub with my iPhone.
Have fun looking through the pictures. I hope I was able to catch at least a glimpse of the atmosphere from the Moet party.

BBQ WITH TIMBERLAND AND THE NEW #TBLBOATSHOES

Lois Opoku striped dress OOTD lisforlois
About two weeks ago I had the pleasure of having my first BBQ of the season with Timberland in celebration of their new model the #TBLboatShoes, a loafer made for summer. The location was beautiful, the BBQ delicious, as we seemed to float on the Spree. The platform we were situated on did. Or so it felt at least. You could hear the gentle waves crash against the platform. It all looked beautiful and somewhat idyllic as if stolen from a still painting. It was almost perfect; had it not been for the chilling breeze.
But you know me. It takes little put a smile on my face and wrap me up in a sense of content. And so all it took was a face of a good friend I hadn't seen in a while. Beautiful jolly Nastya. Plus there was good food. Good drinks - double plus. Some more familiar faces - add another plus. A well decorated location that could have easily been a memory of something I might have seen on Pinterest while browsing inspiration or mistaken for an illusion, but the cold breeze I felt, made sure to remind me it was all quite real. A lovely PR Team - yet another plus.
Besides eating and chatting and discovering the latest Timberland addition, we got to choose and customize our own pair of Timberland Boat Shoes. Tucked in a little shack sat a lady patiently stitching on all our customizations chosen from various boxes of colorful patches in comic style.

I picked out a pair in baby blue and kept the customization to a minimum. Simply a little lightening in the right far corner of my right shoe. Would you laugh if I told you it nearly took me an hour to decide what to put on my shoes just to go with a little lightning tucked away in a corner? You would, probably shake your head smirking.
The shoes are made of the softest leather. And they feel comfortable.
Thank you so much Timberland for the lovely evening and BBQ session.
Thank you for the shoes!

CAMEL ON CAMEL ON CAMEL - GPD DAY 1

camel on camel outfit lois opoku lisforloisWhat's good squad?
I just wanted to share my look from the Press Days last week with you guys. I went for total camel look, somewhat looking like I was trying to challenge how much camel one can wear before looking like one. I don't know why but I really wanted to combine these culottes with the top, both new in my closet which I snagged of the sale at Mango.
After having kept my Rihanna x Puma creepers safely tucked in the farthest corner of my closet (talk about "I need these shoes so desperately in my closet else my world will stop!" .. oh the power of a hype *smh*), I finally brought them out months after the release party and staying up to midnight to buy them. I've been wearing them a lot lately. I kind of remembered why I got them in the first place and why I fell for the hype.
They are pretty amazing, don't you think?

THE HOTTEST MONTH

Footlocker vans Lois Opoku lisforlois
February marked the Hottest Month in every sneakerhead's calendar. The Hottest Month is a month full of daily releases at Foot Locker. From the hottest Nikes, to the Puma x Fenty release (daaaammmnnnn) to Adidas exclusives to Vans, it's mayhem!
Foot Locker allowed me to choose and style a pair and I went for the Vans metallics that are exclusive to Foot Locker. Now let me be completely honest with you. I chose them because my initial reaction was "ew what are thooose?!", immediately followed by a classic Barney Stinson like urge to make them work in a "Challenge accepted!" fashion.
Here is my result.
What are your thoughts?

BERLIN FASHION WEEK - LOOK 3

Lois Opoku bomber jacket Streetstyle fashion week lisforlois
For my third look for Fashion Week I decided to go a little more.. well a bit on the boys side. I've been inspired a lot lately by one of my fav instagirls Aleali May. She's been wearing a lot of oversize bomber jackets in very androgynous cuts, mainly by my Adidas fam or Y3, which is a high end label from Adidas by Yohji Yamamoto. Her style itself is quite androgynous and she's rocking it.
I played with the masculine silhouette of this huge bomber coat I stumbled across on ASOS, mixing it with a sexy mini skirt to show off my legs, but kept the rest of my skin tucked away in a turtleneck. The details: tassels to keep it all a little fun.
Was I cold, you wonder. No, I was driven everywhere that day. Haha! Perks of staying with the girls of Blogger Apartment! (I did however make the biggest mistake of my life. Thinking that I'll be driven everywhere, I wouldn't need a pair of changing shoes i.e. flat shoes. No. Don't ever leave the house without a pair of flat shoes. EVER. Unless you are Mehtap. Then you are another type of Queen. You probably heard me whine like a pussy on Snapchat every second snap - add me LoisOpoku)
The top bun is very "every dumb bitch on social media ever"; Granted.
But.. sorry not sorry.
What do you think of this look?

BERLIN FASHION WEEK - LOOK 2: LEATHER CULOTTE AND A DESIGNER JACKET

Lois Opoku fashion Week Streetstyle Grey Coat Leather culottes lisforlois
This is by far my favorite look of this season's Fashion Week. I wore it on the last day, so yeah technically this is day 4, but my following fashion week posts are in no particular order which is why I'm just going to be labeling as they come to keep things in order here on the blog.

As I said this was my favorite look, mainly because I got to wear this stunning jacket by designer VANESSAMORIN. I stumbled across her label through my homie Jean-Claude's Instagram and immediately fell in love with some of her key pieces. We got in contact and she allowed me to style this piece to fashion week. It was perfect for layering while still being the center of attention of the entire look. VANESSAMORIN is a Munich based Designer and manufactures her pieces in Europe. She even worked for Parisian fashion house Damir Doma after design school, but her label itself is what I would call clean and contemporary, casual yet luxurious.  "A woman wearing VANESSAMORIN appreciates and never loses the lightness of being."
Go check out her amazing label. I'm keeping an eye out for her as I can't wait to see how her label will evolve over the next years.

BERLIN FASHION WEEK JANUARY 2016 - LOOK 1

Lois Opoku fashion Week Streetstyle Winter lisforlois
Fashion has come and gone in what seemed like a blur! I pretty much did all the shows with my partner in crime Phillip who helped me take all the pictures this season and I was part of the Blogger Apartment project (more on that later!).
Brace yourself for a few fun posts from Fashion Week. This time I hardly attended any events and I pretty much bailed on all parties. Shocker! I know right? But I had a lot of fun peeking behind the scenes and being able to get a lot of backstage access.
I was able to concentrate on the designers and their work rather than all the tata tata and heckmeck and fake glitz and glam around it. I selected a handful of designers I was really interested in seeing and a got a whole new perspective being able to watch from backstage as it all unfolded.
People still belittle Berlin Fashion Week. Yes, it's not Paris, nor London or anything close to New York.
But Berlin is Berlin and it has a few gems to offer.
Here is my first outfit. But brace yourself for more to come..

BRIGHT COATS BUT TRACKPANTS

Blue Coat Winter style Bruno Banani Lois Opoku lisforlois
I'm loving this bright blue coat that I got from Otto. It is perfection to cure the winter blues. Sounds ironic. It's not.
It took me a while, but Otto surprisingly has a few hidden gems tucked in their online shop, waiting patiently for you to uncover them. Patience is the key word. Look through it with time.
Also I've been pretty much living in these sweatpants I got from Footlocker during the press days. It's an exclusive to footlocker piece and it's made winter so much more bareable. You'd probably associate sweatpants with a lazy-at-home look or as King Karl would say: "if a woman is out in sweat pants she's lost control over her life."
Who said sweatpants couldn't be chic?
I, for one, am regaining control of my life.
Yes, in sweatpants.

EMU AUSTRALIA CUSTOMIZE LAB EVENT

emu australia event lisforlois
Hi my lovely people,

On Friday I stopped by the Görtz store on Ku'damm after EMU Australia invited my to come by and customize my own pair of EMU boots. September has passed, October is here and slowly, but gradually autumn has arrived. The temperature is dropping like the leaves.
But Berlin has been blessed with that September Sun the last couple of days.
I'm ready to change my flats for booties and throw over thick knits instead of light cardigans.
In the customization lab I choose the classic light brown boots. With the buttons on the side I can easily fold over my new boots.
We were able to choose from crazy designs and patterns, snowflakes and typography.
But I choose to keep it simple, very simple. A mere L.O. gracing the outer side of my right boot. My initials. With my new boots I'm ready for fall.
Thank You EMU Australia.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK - DAY THREE

lois-opoku-berlin-fashion-week-streetstyle-sandro-lisforlois
Another day, another Fashion Week report! Let's embark on my adventures for day 3. This time again in my usual colourful spirit. I wore the most luxe Sandro piece on which I spent my savings on without a blink of an eye, paired with the coolest shoes in my entire closet. I'm so in love with this piece and the heels. Both new. But naturally I didn't leave the house without a pair of flats in my bag, which is why part of the day I wore flats. But, yes my outfit was on point most of the day! ;P

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK - DAY ONE

lois opoku fashion week streetstyle outfit lisforlois
Hey guys!
How have you been? I've finally been able to upload my first fashion week diary. And like in true old fashion I will take you along my day from morning to end and show you my outfit. Although I didn't do particularly much on day one as opposed to the million shenanigans I used to be up to, I had a fun day that left me tired and happy to be in bed afterwards.
Scroll down for outfit details. (All the way at the end of the post like always ;) )
Let's get started.

OLYMPUS PEN GENERATION FASHIONGALLERY OPENING

Lois Opoku Olympus PEN generation Fashion Photography Gallery Opening BERLIN
What used to start out with inofficial parties on Monday's - Monday's have become part of Fashion Week. So my first stop this year was the Opening of the Olympus PEN Generation Fashion Gallery (had to sit out on the European Fashion Award FASH 2015 and Zalando Fashion House. It was just too much to start off fashion week and frankly too little time).
The Gallery featured amazing photography by some of my favourite bloggers, such as Kayla from Not Your Standard or my dear friend Amandine or Chloe, a Fashion Blogger from the Netherlands, who I met 4 years ago during my very first Fashion Week.
The Gallery was good. The photography pretty amazing and it was a great way to start of fashion week, especially because there were so many international bloggers present.
My highlight had to have been when I met Ivana Carpio (goddess of Love Asthetics), who I've been following since day one. I've always looked up to her and I briefly met her about two years ago at Fashion Week. Didn't think she would remember me. But she did and she came up to me. She really is amazing.
